Request A Lumber SampleThermally Modified™ Wood may be the first truly green lumber resource that performs better and costs less than the alternative wood species and substitute products developed to replace wood. The Cambia thermal modification process uses high heat in a controlled atmosphere to improve the durability of the wood as well as to increase its dimensional stability. We achieve a deep, natural color in our special drying process that provides a rich finished product that looks exotic without hurting the environment.
Both our thermally modified poplar and ash have achieved a Class 1 durability rating according to EU standards through testing completed at the Institut fuer Holztechnologie in Dresden, Germany.
